Student Life

at Chesterton Academy of Holy Trinity

Athletics

As part of our commitment to the formation of the whole person, Holy Trinity Academy maintains a manicured three mile running and walking trail. The beautiful trail traverses across fields, through woods, and around a lake. Our coaches understand precisely how to develop a young athlete’s physical gifts, and the connection between their physical development and their spiritual and intellectual development.

To facilitate this, we offer the following sports and clubs as well as host yearly retreats and frequent pilgrimages around the Houma-Thibodaux diocese and Archdiocese of New Orleans.

  • Cross Country

  • Co-Ed Soccer

  • Golf

  • Tennis

  • Track & Field

  • Powerlifting

Clubs & Activities

In the first few years of Chesterton Academy, we will be initiating and building upon a variety of clubs and activities. We encourage students to seek out a moderator and host their own clubs and activities. Please contact us if you’re interested in starting one!

Our Current Activities Include:

  • 4-H

  • Retreats & Pilgrimages

House System

Chesterton Academy’s House system is drawn from the 1,000 year-old tradition of Christian education exemplified in the colleges at Oxford and Cambridge. The Houses provide real, tangible community within the larger school, giving students the opportunity to take ownership, fulfill the call to leadership, and to cultivate the ideal conditions for virtue. Each House has two Senior and two Junior prefects, two faculty advisors, and several parent liaisons.

Four family crest shields with different symbols: bees and beehive for Ambrose, heart with flames for Augustine, open book with Greek text for Athanasius, chalice and host for Chrysostom.
